mince42, i like the cut of your jib, I do indeed believe that being in the same state as last night might help me think more clearly, also since i have no food in the house and can't find the money to buy some, and since I do have a healthy supply of beer in the house, I feel im practically obliged to get drunk, fate has spoken

Yeah, but its funny when you find it again. I often open stuff or look under stuff and find like LOTS of money i had hidden before.

I'm like JACKPOT party tonight...cycle repeats.

Yes, all the time. Whenever I lose something and can't find it I take a deep breath, relax and go look for it again in the first place I checked, only this time in a calm and thorough manner. 90% of the time it is there.
The second trick is to look for it whilst drunk, sometimes a memory is more accessible in the mental state during which it was first laid down.

I don't do that because I'm a bit worse for the drink, I do it cos I'm a woman and forget were I put stuff, have you tried looking in places were you would never normally hide anything, the freezer or fridge, at the back of the telly, in books or newspapers, hope you find it soon, good luck.

Not with money but once I put my keys in the freezer and couldn't find them and I pulled the whole house apart. I wasn't drunk either!

I do it all the time, I'll take my glasses off and totally forget where I put them.

Ha! Ha! I've done this before, although I didn't realise I'd stashed it - just thought I'd spent a fortune when I was out. It was superb finding it though!

My dad does it a lot - and keeps thinking someone has stolen it!

yes! between mattress of bed, in a jacket in wardrobe, in sneaky little drawer (usually at top of some chests, really slim), in a shoe, totally stuffed at toe, sandwiched between magazine or book (sometimes in 2 seperate ones for coins and notes!)

only a few suggestions from my drunken paranoia! lol
