Remember the good times together.

Honor his legacy.

Live life as he would like you to live if he were around.

I guess you can never fully cope with it. My best friend died over the summer from a drug overdose (he got that bad tainted heroin that was going around in chicago). He was just starting to get his life back in order, was clean and sober for 2 years, just got a job, he went out one night with some of his old buddies and look what happens. Kid was 26 years old, he stood up in my wedding, I knew him since I was 10 (Im 31 now.) We went down different paths, but he was still and always my best friend. You just never fully cope with it. Wait till you start having dreams, you will freak out even more. The only advice I can give might not be that great, but just live by all the memories you have that make you smile, and try to honor and never forget your friend.

I found a book that helped me through my grandmother's death. The name of it is "Seven Choices: Finding Daylight After Loss Shatters Your World" By Elizabeth Harper Neeld. I am so sorry for your loss. I hope this book can help you.

just remember that your friend would not want you to stop living your life because he died. They - well, all of us really - just wants to be remembered. Just smile when you think of him. never forget the good times. You'll be fine. Chin up!

Everyone is different, it takes time, talk to someone you love and trust. I'm sorry for your loss.
