I assume you are talking about feral pigs. Some of the most popular ways of tackling the problem includes trapping, baiting with poison, shooting and biological control. Electric fences can be used to protect areas of high value.

I guess I'm slow this morning, this category is Politics and I don't see the connection.
Maybe you are referring to "pork barrel spending" or maybe to politicians who ethically act like pigs. If so, say so.
Assuming you meant pork barrel, in politics it is figurative term meaning a supply of money that is provided to supporters for their projects. In this sense I guess the term pig could be relevant. The term may have originated on Southern plantations by the giving to slaves the undesirable remaining parts of pigs that are kept in a salt (or pork) barrel. What you do is vote this political pork (unwanted) spending representative out of office.
Referring to politicians as pigs as unethical and lacking morals is less relevant and can be an insult to pigs. Pigs, when given the opportunity are clean, smart, and practical in their actions. On the other hand, many politicians, given the opportunity, will take advantage of their power to do that thing which is most self serving as in spending your money unethically. Again, vote them out of office.
