This is a direct result of poaching nurses from other countries like India, the Phillipines and Middle East.
But don't worry. Nurses working overseas are paid very good wages. In fact it is not uncommon for nurses in the USA to have very nice houses, cars and swimming pools.

austrialia r busy poaching uk nurses as they have a dire short-fall in trained workers from all vocations and trades.
i don't think u have anything 2 fear, once ur training is complete hopefully the NHS will have sorted out any of the recruitment and retaining staff, like they have now.
along with Docs needing 2 sign new contracts, all NHS workers need 2 sign up 2 new conditions, hours, on-going training and new pensions.
there's always an objector or 2 that want 2 make life difficult. when new work practises r brought in and adhered 2, i think the back-lash/mis-management, will ease soon.
check out the NHS Workers web-site 4 up-2-date information, u may need 2 sign up but it's 4 their protection and urs.

Thats absolutely ludicrous,i have been a registered nurse for 12 years and never been out of work.
There is a worldwide shortage of doctors & nurses.
Its a great career especially as a ticket to the world.

My sister is a nurse and she tells me that that's definitely not true! She said there is a shortage of nurses. That in fact, if you are a nurse you can go anywhere and get work.

My friend who wants to be a nurse says you have a better chance if your course is BSC. You might find it easier aswell if you moved to a big city, such as Newcastle, Manchester or Birmingham.
Good luck!
