If you have a sponges for cleaning vinyls, you can use white vinegar rather than bother with buying specialist cleaning solutions ~a nice easy trick my mum taught me years ago. As for the covers, as a few other people have said, don't use anything liquid, just a wipe with some kind of cloth that doesn't shed dust everywhere!

Dad used to clean LPs with mild dish detergent.
Recommendation back then was to pour a warm water solution directly onto disc & rinse off with plain warm tapwater.
No rubbing at all.
Let them air dry.
Done carefully , you won't even get the labels wet.
The tiny amount of soap left takes care of the static.
Got to be websites for old records.

You can clean your records with Plexi-Clean. It's put out by a company called Blue Ribbon Products. If you can't find it, go to their website - blueribboninc.com - and see if you can order it from them. It not only cleans and cuts grease, but its also anti-static and repels dust.
