yes. I was picked on when i was a kid for being a gypsy.it botherd me only until i accepted myself as a gypsy. After that I realised that they didn't even know what they where calling me, I got smart to them and when they called me a gypsy instead of getting offended and annoyed i just told them i didnt miind them callingme what i was.the racism stopped.i didnt see myself as a victemi am who i am, if the other minorites in this country accepted themselves for what they are and have to offer then maybe rasism toward the individual would cease. Take pride in yourself andhave a laugh.start being who you are not what you are and you will stop underachieving and start making a difference.you can be a stereotype,or you can reset the stereotype.you choose.

Many clearly don't have the ability to accept criticism, or laugh at them selves. Its good I think to protect minority groups, but not to over do it, and wrap them in cotton wool, so to speak. What have Christians had to put up with over the years . With "The life of Brian" etc. Criticism is a good thing for testing ones faith, patience, and tolerance. Because faith must be tested otherwise its worth nothing. As long as the criticism not over the top. So there has to be some guide line. I think all groups within a country should be treated alike.

It sure has - and what puzzles me is - most people I meet everyday - ask the same thing - it seems to be the majority are against it ... So...why is no-one doing anything about it... ? In Glasgow & most of Scotland .. 90' odd % of voters keep re-electing Labour the PC party. .. at every election - be it for Councillors , MSP's or MP's... It is getting ridiculous - in Glasgow we couldnt live without our local corner shop ( The Pakis ) but we can now be jailed for saying that word... Even the Pakistani shopkeeper thinks it is Madness.... Fun has been taken from our daily lives ...What about this story - it has to be the maddest example of PC gone mad - in Douglas, South Lanarkshire - a councillor called Danny Meikle - now has a Criminal Record for being a Racist - for calling a Welshman " Boyo"..

It's gone way too far,and now it's pathetic.
We're no longer allowed to call our lights Christmas, they have to be seasonal lights.
Changing a child's nursery rhyme, because it contains the word BLACK.
You now have to be careful when telling jokes,in case of offending the minority
Us British,Welsh,Irish and Scottish, are being made to feel inferior in our own country, and it seems as though we can no longer say boo to a goose, with out repercussions

Yes Yes yes.
Chairman is a position, not a statement of sex.
Fireman is a job not a definition of gender
Muslims and Hindus demand to be able to celebrate their own Holy Days and MOAN about Christians celebrating theirs.
Seasonal greetings...... Bollocks.
Merry Christmas to you all, whatever your race, colour or religion.
I wrote ***** instead of moan and Yahoo deleted it .
Message to Yahoo... ' The word that describes a female dog is common slang for complain, not a politically inncorrect word. Has political correctness gone too far? Yes in Yahoo answers.

GONE TOO FAR...........? Gone there, come back to check, and then gone on again ! ! ! I get so peed off by all these bloody do-gooders telling me what I can or can't say or do that I purposely go RIGHT AGAINST their wishes and demands whenever I can, even if it puts me out !.
I was one of the first to put the St.George's flag out at the height of the football, and (amongst loads of other things!) I'm always first in the street to display a large illuminated "Happy Christmas to All" sign in the front window.
As you can see, I will NOT be told to alter my whole outlook on things just to suit somebody else, especially when that somebody else shouldn't have come to this country in the first place.

it has gone too far.
i dont think the majority of people are bothered what they called aslong as it is not insulting. i mean people can hardly go around decribing black people as african-american(assuming they are american, i must admit i dnt know the uk term) all the time. on the other hand the defo shouldnt call black people by the N word.
theres a thin line we've got to stay in without really going over to either side too much.

Yes it has gone too far, it's a black day when we're not allowed to express our opinions (Oops is that a bit non PC?).
It's about time people started to take life a little less seriously and just enjoyed it more. If you are firm in your beliefs then why take offence when somebody expresses otherwise?
