Urge download?

Question

I downloaded Urge onto my media player, now I don't want it. How do I get rid of it? I am very computer challenged, so please try to explain in simple terms. Thank you.

* Click the START button and select Run.
* Type in: regedit in the command box.
* When the regedit window appears, expand the HKEY LOCAL MACHINE by clicking on the plus sign to its right.
* Now Click on the plus next to SOFTWARE, then MICROSOFT, then WINDOWS, then CURRENT VERSION and finally UNINSTALL
* When you expand the Uninstall folder, you'll see all the programs currently installed, such as the uninstall Media Player 10 or Media Player, etc.
* Click on the folder you want to uninstall, in the box on the right you will see two strings:
* DisplayName and UninstallString.
* Double click UninstallString and a box will appear with the uninstall string highlighted.
* Right click on the highlighted entry and select COPY.
* Close the Regedit window.
* Select the START button and click RUN.
* Right click inside the command box and paste the uninstall string and click OK to uninstall Media Player 10 beta.

Uninstalling Media Player 10 beta using find:

If you're thinking about trying to remove Media Player 10 beta using the find command and deleting the results, forget about. This will not work and will likely crash your system!
Removing Windows Media Player 10 beta bottom line:

Make sure you have created a restore point before you install Media Player 10 beta (Media Player 10 beta likely did this for you). You can uninstall Media Player by rolling back to your restore point. Here is how to find that:

* Go to the add / remove programs in control panel. If you're using XP SP2, you'll see a 'show updates' box at the top of the add / remove programs. Turn it on.
* Select "Windows Media Player 10".

You can't remove Windows Media Player entirely - it is not possible! You can revert back to a previous version, but uninstalling it altogether is not possible.
