I've danced since I was 16 and now I've noticed that when I point my left foot, I get a really sharp pain and I have to quit pointing. It's very discouraging and only happens when I'm pointing my left foot. What did I do? Nothing else seems broken, and I can't tough out the pain, because it is really bad.

you proabably pulled a muscle or a tendion in your left foot. You should have a doctor look at it. wear comforable shoes when you are not danceing, and do a lot of foot rolls to lossen up your feet before streching or dancing.

I Have Been Taking Ballet Ever Since I Was 3 And That Same thing Happened To Me. But I Did some Flexing Techniques And Staying In Flex With My Feet And When You Point And It Hurts Go To Flexing As In Pull Your Toes Back Or Stay In Releve.
Good Luck!!!

If by pointing you mean the ballet dancing technique, then that is the very thing you did wrong. That is SO bad for your body, your muscles and joints, no wonder you're getting pain! Your feet are made to stand on when they're flat on the floor, not on tiptoes.
