On my old computer, I could make CD's of mp3's as data files and get around 120-150 songs on a CD. I have a brand new computer now and cannot do this. I try to do it in Itunes (using data CD's) and it won't let me do it. I can only burn 74 minutes worth of music. I have Windows XP. Any suggestions???

It sounds like Itunes is burning the songs in .WAV format as a regular audio CD (so it will be playable in CD players) whereas on your old computer you were just burning mp3 files as data.

Use the windows writeable CD folder or Nero to burn the mp3 files directly, you'll get more on a CD. But 74-80 minutes is all that a CD can hold, if you're burning regular audio tracks.

EASY AS 123...haha!

here's what you have to do:

CLICK MY COMPUTER> CD-rom DRIVE

inside the cd/r-drive PASTE ALL FILES THAT YOU NEED.

For example your Mp3 files paste it as if your just transferring files normally.

Insert your Blank CD then find the button that says "Write these files on CD"..

OK?

I actually have 2 burners - a Samsung and a Dell. both require that with the intention to practice a CD like a floppy, you want to apply CD/RWs and they could want to first be formatted with the software that powers your burner. study the guy's education guide. that is a worry-free technique, despite the indisputable fact that the information CD isn't able to be learn on yet another computing device until eventually finally to procure the "reader." save your self some aggravation and get an outside now no longer easychronic or some flashdrives.
