It was funny. Sure, it was heavy-handed and polarizing, but overall it was a comedy like any other. The comedy stems from a certain level of satire and dramatic irony that seems to get lost between outrageous moments of barbarity and poop jokes. Most people only see that aspect of it and get lost in what the character is saying and not what the actor is implying by making the character say those things.
I speak for nobody but myself, there are many people who hated it.

I thought it was funny, especially the subway part at the beginning. I do have misgivings about the Romanian "Kazahkistan" village though. They're dirt poor and they really had no idea what was going on.

i didn't enjoy it at all. i thought it was vulgar and crude. probably the worst movie i have seen in a long time.

I wouldn't go see it not into seeing a dumb looking guy make fools of other people.
