Made up of soya beans.

To make taho:
Soak soya beans in tap water for 30 minutes.

Dehull the soya beans.

Soak the soya beans again for another 8 hours with generous amounts of water.

After the long soak, grind the beans (you may use a blender).

Then boil it for 20 minutes.

Drain the cooked soya beans to separate the milk from the soy pulp. Make sure you squeeze all the soya pulp thoroughly.

Apply a coagulating powder (like gypsum powder) and stir until a gel-like form is achieved.

For the ARNIBAL:
Dissolve 1 cup of brown sugar in 1 cup water.

Boil for 5 minutes.

"taho" is made of soy beans, they're basically tofu (really soft tofu, similar to Japanese tofu) with very sweet syrup and "sago" or tapioca pearls...

you can buy it chilled in most restaurants or malls... or hot/warm from the street vendors...

enjoy! :)
