yes i think we are stronger as a nation in our faith even if you faith is different then mine i still think you should believe in something and we are stronger in security ect maybe it even made families in NY and other areas stronger or maybe all over the US by showing how fast your loved one can be gone and maybe it took 9/11 to remind us to be more secure and maybe if 9/11 didnt happen a way worse attack would have happened it is a huge tradegy that it happened none the less but yes i think some good came out still God bless all the heros and their families

Yes.
Any historical event can have something 'good' come of it, but that requires the courage to NOT take the easy way out.
The two events you mentioned were tragic esp. to those who lost familiy and friends. both also required years of struggle afterwords to get the laws passed needed to make things right.
The generation that witnessed Pearl Harbor, I'm sure, didn't think any 'good' would come of it either, esp. with Americans dying around the globe. But years of struggle bore many fruits: the UN,
destruction of two terrible Military Dicatorships, the spark that started the civil rights movement in earnest (large numbers of minorties fighting in the military for the first time) Even equal oppertunties for women (think Rosie the riveter) most of these things took a generation to fully bloom, but they did come in time.
To answer the second part, there ARE people trying to make good that awful loss.
If nothing else, that day ( as well as 3/11 and 7/7) only delegitamizes international terrorism to the point that even the most historically extreme goverments have backed away (at least publicly) from its use. I believe that our Generation will see the end of International Terrorism , just as the last generation killed Communisim (China and Vietnam's largest trading partner is the U.S. , Cuba's economy depends on 'capitalist' tourist dollars) and the previous one destroyed Fascism.

Yes
The Post 9-11 era is a safer era than the pre.
Airports have tighter security.
Applications for Visas are now stricter.
That the real reason that 9-11 was that devastating was not because of Osama Bin Laden....
That sometimes people believe what the media say so easily...
Ok enough of that...
Out of a bad, you always learn a lesson.
Mistakes are mistakes unless learned from..

We should never forget!! We do live in a society where unfortunately we tend to take things for granted. No mater how bad it seems we have its good, real good. We have a right to do just what we are doing now, expressing our self. But we also have to fight for the right to do so. What happened in N.Y. was a tradgedy. But as unfortunate as it was it woke us up. Never Forget...is the one thing among others that was, so called good to come from 9/11.

Are you kidding me??? I've never seen this country come together as we did after 9/11. We may disagree or argue amongst ourselves, but when our way of life is threatened, that's when you see the true American spirit come thru. Forget about politics, when a true crisis such as 9/11 arises that's when we are at our best.

The only good that could've come from it was lost about a year later when America forgot about it and began complaining that we are too hard on terrorists. "9/11....we will never forget!" WHAT A JOKE!

from a practical standpoint, sure....like don't bolt aluminum directly to steel so that the inferior metal pits and weakens through electrolosus......then, rather than face international embarassment because of false pride by admitting the flaw and spending 6 billion fixing it, you fly some planes into the buildings and blame it on someone you want to go to war with.
