I'm working 6 days.... 48 hours... sometimes 56 in a week. It's not likely for me to get less hours, and I need the hours to pay my bills. I get no paid vacation either.

I have a couple of suggestions...depending on your job..include some of your personal things from home in your office. Maybe take a comfortable throw blanket to hang off the chair you sit on. Photos of family you will be seeing soon or pictures of the people you don't get to see as often as you would like. Instead of always drinking the office cofee. bring a mini pot that make a couple of cups and bring a special pick me up brew from the market. Maybe some kind of herbal tea bags too would help. Have a candy jar on your desk that you offer to people that come by your desk. Have a fresh flower at your desk. No bouquets of flowers...a single rose or tulip..maybe your fave flower. Keep a radio very low around your desk and keep it on a soothing station. Maybe some classical...It will greatly improve the mood. Keep some ginseng at the desk as well for a after lunch pick me up. One of the best tips I have though is since you are working so many hours...and so hard...Find something you really want. Maybe a cashmere sweater, or a good book you have heard about, maybe a theater production, a mini vacation somewhere close by your hometown. Find SOMETHING you would really love and set aside so many pennies, nickles, dimes, quarters or dollars per hour you work for that item..RE; ....I wanted to take my kids to the beach this summer and so I set aside 3% of my hourly wage and half of my overtime funds towards our mini vacation. By the end of the summer when we took our trip..we had a great time and I got to teach my kids that working hard has its moments but it can get a great payoff in the end when you have the ability to do something you normally wouldn't have . And i learned that i am working hard long hours but the rewards are more than worth it.

Hi. First of all i tottaly disagree with the weed theory, thats just stupid! Weed kills brain cells, makes you slower, depressed and broke! How is that meant to help! Work out what time you get up in the morning, (how long before work) if its only enough time to get up, have a shower and go to work, than u need to wake up 5-10 mins earlier, have a natural energy drink (V8 or juice) do a few stretches to wake yourself up and then ask your boss if you can have a few duties to yourself that will help you relax. If there is any errons to be run ask if u can do them as this will be relaxing as u will get to take your time and it will feel like a break compared to your regular work schedule.

Wow,that must be some job! You get no vacation and have to work OT to make ends meet? Sorry-if there's not a prospect of much better things ahead, my only advice would be start sending out those resumes.

See if you can change your living conditions so that your bills do not rule your life. You are working far too long.
