It could be that the wireless signal isn't strong enough. My wireless modem has a website that I can use to turn up the power.
Also, there could be other signals interfering with the wireless. For example, I have noticed that my connection goes bad when the microwave is on if I'm in the kitchen.
Also, don't forget that you can overload your connection if you have too many pages loading at the same time.
