Absolutely not. There are poisonous items contained in hair dye and red hair dye contains some mineral elements not safe for consumption. The skin on the lips is very thin and the contents of the dye would be absorbed into the bloodstream. I would suggest a lip tatoo rather than hair dye.

Hair products typically containing bleach, ammonia, and/or peroxide along with many naturally occuring minerals and some heavy metals not safe for consumption. Hair dyes need to be used with extreme caution as they can cause severe irritation even on the top of the head.

They are intended for the hair on your head and nowhere else. The lips are moist and leaching into the mouth would be a major problem. Since the dyes are very harsh, they are the worst thing you can do to your mouth.

Depending on your age though, you might consider this, as you age your taste in colours will change and changing your natural lip colour may impact outcomes when you put more neutral colours on later in life.

I hope this helps

No, you can't.

There are some lip "stains" out there on the cosmetics market, that last longer than lipstick, like the Constant Color Lip Paint found here (I like this place because you can return it if you don't like the color, or anything else about it):

Permanent cosmetics are great, I had my eyebrows done because my hair is super blonde, and my eyeliner, which hurt like bloody 'ell, because the eyelid between lashes doesn't numb too well with lidocaine. Lips take lidocaine much more easily, like the brows, so it doesn't hurt much. HOWEVER, fads change, and the color you get now might not seem so hot in a few years. Make sure you go to a very experienced permanent makeup artist who can help you choose a classic color that goes with your skin tone.

Good luck!

You can't dye any part of your body permanently! The way to go to have permanent red lips, it to have them tatooed. My sister had hers done 5 years ago and still to this day never wears lipstick! It is a little painful, but worth it in the long run, as you always have sexy attractive lips whatever time of the day!

If you do that, the "stain" will only last a few days. So it could get expensive to re-do all the time. I've stained my hands and head, and it always came out within a few days. You dont want to get the dye too close to your mouth because its not safe to eat.. So all in all, not a good idea.

If you want it stained, try a long lasting lipstick or a stain meant for lips like benetint from benefit cosmetics.

You can get it tattooed on but everyone I know who has done that, has regretted it and now they are having issues getting it removed years later.

that is not a good idea at all. you're not even supposed to get the idye on your normal skin, but on the sensitive skin of your lips?? NO! also, colors for hair aren't the same as you'd wear on your lips. plus, what happens if you accidently lick your lips while waiting for it to stain? another not good scenario.

find a nice lip stain or gloss. (and they're cheaper!!)

no it don't work that way hair color has ingredients in them that can be toxic, it will poison you, however another safe way to get color to stay in your lips is to have a lip liner and your lipstick tattooed on this is permanent, if that what you are looking for

Dont do that..that can be very dangerous..hair dye is meant to be used on hair, not lips, anything you put on your skin gets sucked into your blood stream, so i wouldnt even dream of doing it..
I think you can get makeup tattoed on you? Maybe try that hun.

why dont you get a red lolly pop or a red lolly that usually stains your tongue and instead smir it over your lips. or red food dye..that would be better than red hair colour that will burn your lips and cause infections and all other dramas. good luck.

No way...that's not healthy at all. You can get stuff though at like sephora or just about any makeup retailer that stains your lip a certain color for a while. I have one, it works pretty well.
