I have a degree in marketing communications, which is basically advertising and promotions. But I battled to find work and did the few odd jobs, which I only stayed with for 4-7 month. I am now at a job that I just took coz I was out of work. I have been here for almost 8 months, but it is really not the kind of work I enjoy. But the people are very nice and it is only 5 mins away from home. They also dont pay very well, in fact im battling to make ends meet. Now I have been offered another position which will pay a little more, and be more down my line of interest. What should I do? Stay because it looks good on my C.V. to have long term experiance? Or not waste my time doing something I dont enjoy?

Hi,

I think you have to do something more enjoy. cause when doing something you really interest and enjoy it's will be more energy. I also have same experienced like you before. I just work for 3 month in one company with pay not well while i got offer to something double and it's will be the job tht I want... I just move out although I know tht in old company all people really nice and close to my home.
But still have to move on to something more better and something more enjoyable...

Cheers ~ MS

I would go with mt interests and the better $ doesn't hurt either. I am assuming you haven't been in the workforce very long, and most employers will understand needing to find your niche. Also, you will probably stay with the more interesting and better paying position for longer because you'll be happier. Good luck.

If it is a little bit different the new job... Then keep the one you have till you find an opportunity that will make a real difference in all ways. But you will need to change again soo if it is a little better position and a little better money

i imagine someone might want to objective to stay at their job for a minimum of two-3 years before leaving for a sparkling job, yet each body is different. i don't believe of evidently reliable at the same time as someone differences jobs oftentimes.

Take the job that interests you - life's too short to be spending most of your waking hours contributing to something that doesn't inspire..
