Ditto....Heater core...and depending on the year make and model of your car, I can give you detailed, step by step instuctions on how to replace it...
As a temporary fix.....open the hood you will find two coolant hoses side by side attached by the firewall, disconect both. using a coolant flush tap(availible at any autoparts store) attach the hoses together. This will BYPASS your heater core...You will not have any heat or defroster but you won't have steam fogging up you windows either.
If you want to attempt the heater core replacement, update with more details of your car or email me with the info.

The above guy is correct, it is your heater core.

It may or MAY NOT be an easy fix. Some cars (80's Mustang 5.0) you had to remove the damn dash panel to get to it. I think that may be the exception rather than the norm, but you should ask the question again and tell what kind of vehicle it is and get advice from someone who knows your specific vehicle.

It is very possible that it is the heater core. However, it could also be the tubing to the core. I had a 89 Beretta that had a small crack in the supply tube and the same thing happened.

It is definitely the heater core, depending on whether or not if you have ac and even if y ou do it shouldn't be to difficult and you can get them almost anywhere, like napa, auto zone, advance and even the dealer, just make sure when your changing yours if your going to do it that you don't push or pull to hard when your putting the new one in as so you won't put a hole in the new one.

Replace your heater core. Do not try to fix it with a stop-leak product. This would only plug the heater core and radiator.

Everyone says heater core... Are you SURE it's coolant vapor? Does it smell like antifreeze? You'll get a similar effect if you have the heater controls set to recirculate the cabin air... make sure they're set to bring in outside air.
