Man can adapt to any condition, over a period. The temperate climate is neither oppressively hot nor unbearably cold.

different climates for different folks.
I live in a Mediterranean climate in Calif., which is usually exhorted as wonderful, but it's a boring climate with basically two seasons: wet and dry.

I think Temperate because as the name indicates it is favourable. That is not much hot or cold. that is why most of the peoples aswelllas industrial center is found in this zone or simply developed areas.
