Madonna is the best by far. She has been around since the 80's and is still going strong and wills till be around once Gwen Steffani is no longer.
Gwen has a totally different style of music to Madonna. I did like Gwen's last solo album but not to hot about her new single 'Wind It Up'.
Madonna is the Queen of pop. It will take a lot for someone to take her place and I don't think it'll be Gwen.

I think Madonna would win for me, hands down. I love her music and some of her videos are brilliant, but I just can't get into any of Gwen Steffani's songs at all.

They are both good, I used to really like Madonna. But I love Gwen's style and quirkiness, so I'll have to say Gwen.
The thing is Gwen has said that she likes Madonna and that she has influenced her in her music, so I don't think that she thinks that she is the latter

Why compare them? It makes some people get migranes... But in my opinion: Gwen. I like Madonna, but her music can't evolve, it's kinda cliche. When Gwen was with No Doubt the sound was just a bit different.

Madonna is classic, and I love her music from the 80s but I have been a Gwen Stefani fan since I was in 12 or 13, I'm 29 now!!! I know everything there is to know about her, I've been to most of her concerts, know every word to every song. Therefore, I love GWEN!!
