I wouldn't paint the nursery yet, but I do know that you can have a pretty good guess based on heart rate.
Heart rates around 140 and below are usually boys, 140 and above girls. My sons was 133 and my daughter was 165. Same with my sisters... they always concurred the same thing. My doctor guessed with both my kids at my checkups before the first u/s and was right both times.
Congrats btw.

NO, there is absolutely no truth to that! The only way to know for sure is to wait and see when the baby gets here. But, your doctor will give you an ultrasound, and should be able to tell you the sex of the baby; presuming that the baby cooperates and is in a position that the doc has a good view of the genitals! While I was pregnant with my daughter, for the first half of the pregnancy she was a "boy" and then they realized that she really was a girl. It was the position she was in and where the umbilical cord was positioned as well! Good Luck and Congrats!!

Nope, all the old tales are just that tales.... its a 50/50 chance. My little MAN is also on the Left. Only way to really tell is through ultrasound, and even then sometimes its just not possible.
Chinese birth chart if fun but it also is not always right. Again it was wrong with me.

You heard of taking a threaded needle and putting over, not touching, the mother to be hand ... right? Well if the needle goes in a circle it's a girl. Back and fourth ... boy.
P.S. ... the person holding the thread cannot be you, your husband or anyone who cares about the outcome ... it can be influenced like a weegie board.

They move around all the time during the pregnancy from left to right and up and down so I would say that all babys would be hemaphrodites if that were true.

My son moved around so much that if this were true, I should've given birth to four boys and four girls.
You can't really tell what your baby is going to be until they give you an ultrasound.
Sorry.

Most likely an old wives tale, but my baby is always on my right side, and I'm having a boy, so it is correct for me!
