over clocking is easy but should be done carefully there are programs you can download to help. If you have a nvidia card use ntune. Overcocking is mainly done in the bios by hitting del. at starup. power bios features for overclocking cpu and video card and adjusting voltages. need to adjust voltages to reflect new power needs. dram config. to o/c your ram also adjust voltages. overclocking should be done in steps one or two mhz at a time and stretched out over time to watch for system instability. overclocking adds heat and can put alot of stress on your pc. alot of times if you dont know what your doing dont do it. or let someone else do it.

Processors are so fast nowadays that there is little point in trying to gain speed by overclocking -- the main thing that you will accomplish is to have the CPU spending more spin cycles waiting for memory fetches to complete (you can't speed up the memory), and of course that does nothing for you. However, it will make the processor run hotter, and that is a bad thing indeed.

For what purpose? You aint gonna get enuff outta it to make a diff anyway! At least not until you are on the verge of fryin the processor! Overclocking was a dying art 10 years ago!

i agree with the people above. Overclocking is very very dangerous for your computer. If you don't know what your doing, then don't try it. You could inadvertinately fry your processor, and ruin your computer. If i were you, i would add more memory. That might help.

You need to find out information about your motherboard and your BIOS, and then do some reading. http://overclock.net/ has some good help sections for you.
