MATSUI=They are Panasonic/Technics budget range, they made items for Dixons/Currys..
the name MATSUI is short for Matshuittita Electric Company..
99% of DVD/CD drives in Laptops/pc's will contain a Matshuittitia drive....... so, can't be that rubbish then!!

Me personnally I never buy Matsui products. After having a few I found they nearly always broke about a week after the guarentee ran out (which is only 3 months, look out for that). They are dixons/currys home brand and are pretty nasty.

When I was in the trade it was Curry's trade name. This type of thing always annoys me. I believe that all appliances should have a label saying this is IE (Matsui made for Curry's). I believe its very misleading to the general public as I have seen Creda appliances made by Indesit. I have power tools with JCB name on them but there not made by JCB .
