Hi what makep esp lipstick should i use?

I am from india fair to medium fair by american standards too as discovered in the mall makeover but have a pale/olive/yellow tinge..

The problem is that I dont have the typical brown overtone so earlier when i had been using a dark colour for foundation etc that was like a pool of artificial brown.

now want to start using makep and particularly lipstick but dont know what to use so that i dont look pale but glow.

At the same time definitely dont have red/pink overtones.

Have nice eyes and lips slightly big nose and oval/round face.

Go for foundations with the word "buff" in them. This usually works well with yellow tones. If it's too light, try mixing it with a darker shade untill you found a good match.
I would try a dark mauve lipstick. it will compliment your skin tone.
if you do go for the dark mauve lipstick, keep your eyemakeup to a minumum. brown eyeliner, or even skip it completely. A little bit of good mascara ( I love Sky High Curves by Maybelline; go for Very Black) goes a long way.

Most of us have yellowish skin, rather than pink. The most common error made in choice of foundation is choosing a base that’s too pink!
A compact is best applied with a sponge (usually comes with the compact you buy). A foundation works best with a good concealer – make sure your concealer matches you skin tone perfectly. It is best to dab on your concealer (lightly) after applying your foundation. That way the foundation will not wipe off the concealer. You could apply a translucent powder after – to conceal the concealer!

First wash your face properly than use a light moisturizer to smoothen your skin.
Select a concealer of a lighter color shadow areas of the face around the eyes and nose.
Then gently apply and blend it all over the face and under the neck an oil free foundation, which will last throughout a long and hot day. Try and choose a color tone, which is slightly lighter than your skin tone but never for white.
Matte foundation is best suited for Indian skin tone. It gives a natural effect.

To get rid of blemishes touch up your face with a concealer. Apply translucent powder and spread evenly all over the face to get that matte effect.
Proper make up should be applied to the forehead, nose and chin.

The eye make up is very important so proper care should be taken for eye make-up.
Use a brown tone eye shadow for softness and white makeup to lift.

Use a thin line of white eyeliner on the eyelid, to highlight the eyes. Finish the line with black eyeliner and add a little black eye shadow under the eye.

To highlight your lashes use black mascara. To have a detailed look brush eyebrows and apply a brown eyebrow pencil.

Use a good quality lipstick, which will last. The color of your lipstick should match your dress.

Good Luck. :)

Makeup should enhance your appearance not overwhelm it. Some people look good with little makeup or none at all. Indian women tend to have nice skin and eyebrows and don't need the heavy eyebrow pencil and Lashes are typically ok too. The best think you can do is go to the makeup counter at the dept store and get a makeover. They are trained to know your colors. another resource is the book "Color me Beautiful" by Carole Jackson
