Best is to start early, say as soon as she starts sitting confidently on her own....Choose the right potty box...the right potty for babies is a deep one...preferably one on which she can sit like on horse back..the potty that is shallow or the one that is like the western toilet is not comfortable for the child and also her butt and vagina touch the potty in the box , which can lead to infection.
Secndly, sit her on the potty, the first thing every morning and maybe once afet her afternoon nap...initially she will not do anything in the box...but persevere, sing songs while she sits, or tell her stories, and eventually she will get habituated and start doing her potty only in the box...but this will happen only after a few weeks..initially she will resist...so dont force her..but again try to put her in the afternoon..

all the best...like all good habits, this will also take time...

I started my daughter at 2 1/2 and it took us about one week to completly train her. There are many sites online to help you with potty training. The best way I found was to take off the diaper and dont make big fuss when she has an accident just explain to her that she needs to go to the bathrooms and use the potty. Eventually she will get tired of making accidents and will start using the potty. Good luck!!

Really the best age is as soon as possible. My first I started potty training at 18 months and my second at 7 weeks. She now is 6 months old and rarely poops in her diaper and prefers to pee on the potty when possible. The book "Diaper Free Before 3" advocates beginning potty training between 6-9 months. I think getting your child familiar with the potty sometime before their first birthday is important.

I even have discovered from the below article that there is not any suited or incorrect age for potty coaching. maximum young little ones are potty experienced between the a while of two and four. some are waiting faster; others take longer and could no longer be waiting to potty prepare till age 5. little ones must be a minimum of 20 months old in the past potty coaching starts. a toddler ought to have the skill to stroll to the bathing room, pull his or her pants on and rancid, and %. up small gadgets. wish this might help.

My first 2 kids were totally trained day and nite by 2years. I have answered other questions on this topic and got thumbs down, probly from parents who dont think toddlers can understand anything.
I started all my kids (3rd one included) at about 6 months when they could sit up. To get them used to it, to understand what it is and about, and to incorporate it into their routine.
I did not use treats. I also didnt put expectations on them. I simply talked about big people potty, little people potty, big people undies, big people dont wear diapers. etc. If they happened to go they got lots of praise (they love to see our reactions!!) and they could visibly see the results. Then i would give them time to crawl/ sit/ run around without a diaper. that was the reward.

I potty trained both my girls a little before they turned 2. You should wait until they show signs that they are ready. Such as staying dry at night and for long stretchs during the day, letting you know that she has just peed or pooped in her diaper. Once you get there ditch the diapers and put on the underware, and go from there. She will have a few accidents, but if she is ready it won't last long. You should also encourage her to use the bathroom, get excited when she does etc. Only use pull ups in the beginning until they get better at staying dry, and try to use them only when going out. They tend to make kids lazy to use the toilet and they go in the diaper. Read this: 5 signs that your child is ready to potty train.

My 2 girls were not ready til 3. I tried to train the oldest at 2 1/2 but she wasn't ready- You will not get any results until the child is ready, I so wanted the older one trained before the next came- but she wasn't ready-- do not push it----- the child needs to know the feeling in order to train, and pressure is not good-- my friend had a child who was trained at 4, then another friend's child was at 3 ---- depends on the child-- DO NOT FORCE IT!!!!!

gET her hooked on those pull ups that have the cool thing. give her a smartie or something or a gummy bear when she does go to the bathroom. tell her that big girls wear these (pull ups) and them even bigger girls get to wear real undies.
