And I'm NOT talking about the crusaders who attacked innocent Jewish villages on their way to the Holy Land, or the crusaders who looted Constaimople in the 4th Crusade or attacked innocent Muslims, I talking about a honest to good Chirstian Crusader, who protects the helpless and serves the Holy See, what's wrong with that? Oh, and please don't rip on me too much, be nice.

You can still be a crusader, in the modern sense. There are plenty of causes and charities needing volunteers, whether it is locally or abroad where you can make a difference.

They also look to employ people full-time, so if that is your dream, go for it!

Also there are people who get together, dress up as knights and re-encact tournaments! You could give that a go.

Take Somedeep's advice. Muslims consider the American and allied fighters in Iraq crusaders. So, maybe you might want to consider joining the Marines or the US Army.

Well, that IS what a crusader is.

If you wanted to be a missionary, that's another thing. Otherwise, you're some European on a horse that's causing trouble in Constantinople and the Levant.

Doesn't pay very well, I'm afraid. Have you thought about keeping the crusading for the weekends and being a mercenary through the week..?

there's nothing wrong with that. you can be a crusader, if you're willing to give up everything for God and listen to him. unfortunately i haven't seen much miracles that God performed these days, unlike in the bible..

overall, yeah you can be a crusader. :] make world peace much easier for us people :]

There is nothing wrong about holding that kind of ideal. It is exactly what the Salvation Army is endeavouring to do.

Why not? Go ahead. A M16 might be more useful than a sword though.
