i believe a guy will do anything to win a girl over if he truly likes her, if he believes she's the one. it doesn't matter what obstacles there may be (like a work relationship, student-prof), he'll do it.

agree?

Yes. A guy will do anything and sacrifice much to be with the girl he loves.

I am reading a little in between the lines when I make this next statement...

There are some situations, especially with older men who have been in relationships before where the brain takes a look at the bigger picture.

Experience teaches some of these men that a broken heart can mend and that a relationship with another girl can eventually blossom.

If such a man was in a position, of say teacher to his student - then the ramifications to his career could be devastating - not only in his current position but futures others he may apply for.

Work relationships are extremely common and it is where older people (those just out of High School and College) find love. Even a relationship between a boss and his employee happens with great frequency - though in this case the burden *must* fall on the employee - for if the relationship should fail, they can be out of work.

When you are young and in love, nothing matters. As you gain wisdom (a euphemism for age:-) both men and women often look at practical matters - except the many romantics among us.

Good luck!

Watched a lot of movies have you? If guy is really in love, he will do some things to win a girl over, but most guys have limits as do most women. Some things just need to be in place. You mention a work relationship and student-prof. Those are often no's because of rules of the establishment. If they are serious about their feelings, one or the other has to move first. For example, the student might choose another university. The prof is unlikely to quit his job.... think about it. He's not gonna leave his wife either, no matter how much he promises to do so "when the time is right to tell her" etc. One person may find another job. It depends on how much they would be giving up.

Most of the time, people will just give up the idea of a relationship and move on.

Best Wishes, my romantic friend.

This is definitely true. I have been lucky enough to experience this and it's totally amazing. I see women stuck in situations and the guy is being a subtle or total jerk and I just think, uh-oh he don't really love her.
