Maybe after reading about different facets of life... you gain your peace of mind(;-)

The Lord within us

Working in your office, you brood why you were born. To work till you exhaust, no enjoyment felt on reaching home, your wife craves for some time for herself and children. You think your energy is being wasted in the corrupt World.

My friend, a painter says, "He is lucky to be born a Human Being", to enjoy the beauty of the mountains, seaside and realms of the mighty one unknown to mankind. His saying is proved in the beautiful sceneries painted on canvas.

You are confused. Your thinking is wrong. You do not worship your work. You are out of harmony from yourself. You are seeking for truth of Life from without. Truth is universal. A man dies. His family grieves over his death feeling bereaved. A moment before his changing form, everyone was cheerful. Why bitterness over casting aside of garment by the omniscient. Life is in every deed, every living being.

A journey in Human form is the richest experience by a soul. One may have experienced the form of an ant, a tree or various unknown realms, why crave for the non-existent. God is everywhere.

In serving others are you not doing your worship to the lord. Why go to a temple, a mosque or a church! To meet various forms of Life cast in a Human body. It is gratifying to some to observe clothing of others but, what of your goal in this cosmic World? Who created us and for what purpose? Shall we never endeavor to reach goal at the earliest. Pace be of a tortoise but, the Lord is pleased. Stagnation is stinky. World is full of illusions. You have to decide what to see and what not to see, What to do and what not to do. Senses will protect and guide us to clear the eternal passage in this cosmic World.

The lord says, "come to me". Do we truly search for him. Your mad rush to the office in the morning and back to home in the evening, does it not bring to your memory a scene of a bullock going round and round the cart wheel flowing out water from a well. You differentiate your-self from other beings but, in the house of God, can we differentiate. Can you harm anyone without displeasing the Creator. He created us not to harm anyone but to achieve our goal in the manner that "Golden Rule" principle is followed.

Follow the path of Ahimsa

Thou are not supposed to think harm of anyone. "Ahimsa" should be followed in thoughts too. Read "Lord Mahavira" in Jainism. Follow the Teachings of "Jesus Christ" - All are thy brethren. Love all. Assimilate the Teachings of "Lord Buddha" - complete your "Karma", follow the middle path to attain "Nirvana". What then is thy destiny? Is it not the bloom of what we have thought till now. We pray and ask God! Why burden the Lord again. More here- http://www.godrealized.org/truce_with_my_inner_self.html

Don't worry. There are only two types of problems:

1) Those that can't be solved. Things beyond your control. In the case of these problems, there's no point worrying since they can't be solved anyway. So just let it go. Move on with your life. Don't let it drag you down.

2) Those that can be solved. Things you can control. In this case, there's no point worrying either. Don't worry, just solve the problem! If there is a solution then find it & do it! Then the problem is solved & you are free.

Worrying never solved anything. It just tears you apart. There's a serenity prayer:

"God grant me the serenity to accept the things I can not change, the courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference."

Peace of mind comes from within. You decide whether or not you let things get to you. Hang a "Do not disturb any further!" sign on your door (mentally!) & decide you will not let it worry you anymore. Do whatever it takes to relax (healthy options though like exercise, yoga, breathing exercises, meditation, a bubble bath, a walk in the woods, whatever gets you through). Get enough rest. Be good to yourself.

I hope whatever personal/family problems that you have can be resolved for you. Even if they can't, remember, you choose your own happiness. Don't let things get to you. Find your own calm amid the chaos. Find your zen. There are many self-help books on positive thinking etc. Read as much as you can. Maybe you'll find the inspiration & direction you need.

Good luck.
Remember you're not alone. We all have families of some sort. That means we all have stress & baggage & issues! They always seem worse at this time of year too!

Take care of yourself.

Peace out.

(Take a deep breath. You will be ok.)

"Mental Disturbance" is a symptom and not a disease. You can do a million things to handle the symptom but that would only be temporary. By only doing a self analysis of the root cause can you get out of this disturbance.

In the process of analysis you will come to know what are the things that YOU can do to get out of your personal and family problems. Do that, come what may.

You will , also, come to know what the others have to do ... parents, siblings , friends ...... There is NOTHING that you can do to make them do that. in other words these actions are beyond you and so, you need not own up any responsibility or have remorse. What can you and I do to stop the Iraq war, tell me?

If you have WORLD SPACE radio listen to swami tejomayananda lecture at 8AM each day. he takes you with him towards understanding.

There are many things that you can do to get peace.
1. If you have wronged anyone, ask that person for forgiveness and ask God for forgiveness. Do whatever you need to make it up to that person if possible.
2. Pray to God and ask for peace.
3. Invite the comfort of the Holy Ghost into your life by reading scripture, singing appropriate hymns, and otherwise participating in things that are true.
4. Do good deeds for others.
5. Let go of worry about things that are out of your control.
I hope you find these suggestions helpful. I don't think this is an exhaustive list.

To get 'peace of mind' - in a general sense, I would recommend doing a daily Buddhist meditation. It centers the mind, and you can have this as a lifetime practice.

In a specific sense, if you are upset due to family and personal problems, then if possible find a way to address that problem and solve it, which is easier said then done. If this problem can not be solved, then if possible, walk away from it. Move on and beyond it.

In the meantime, keep yourself grounded: go for long walks to unwind, allow yourself time to experience delight such as from listening to good music, reading good books, go to uplifting movies, keep your positive self-esteem boosted by cultivating good positive friendships.
Avoid if possible, negative people and anything that drains you of positive energy. Value yourself. Respect yourself.

If there is a problem in life he is not a man at all. Who dare face anything is the human!!!!

Sit, think many times. what is the cause for the problem.
donot make solution for that., divert the same

Sit alone...no distractions...... no music no tv nothing even maybe go outside where there is nothing that can distract you. Look out and stay quiet. Confront the problems head on and dont run around them. Think think think....... then look around and realize how beautiful our world is. Remember everything happens for a reason, and everything will work out in the end. Relax....... but make sure to leave alone time for yourself....

I prescribe marauding and self-destruction.

But you should prefer to conquer your mind.
Try unnatural smiling. You will develop happy thoughts.
Then force every other affectation of happiness you can find. Change your environment, your diet, your ideas, your friends. The mind is a ridiculously simple behavioral mechanism.

Everyone is going to give you adivce for what would (or has) help them. You need to find what will help YOU. Religion is a great way to diminish anxiety and meditation is a great way to clear your thoughts. Physical exersize can have profound effects. Some would have you drink beer and listen to death metal. who knows maybe that is what you need.
Good luck, just remember that only you can find what will help you and life is short, induldge, be happy and strive for creating your legacy.
