Mine had an arranged marriage in 1993. Initially she hated my mom,family. I accepted. I seperated her from family and started living together.Then she started hating me, my job. we have seperate bed for last four years, no physical relation since 8 yrs. Only dilemma is my sons and their future.Pl advise what action I should take. My age is 42 yrs and holding important and high posts in govt.

Now yours is a typical Indian case. You are unable to decide if you want to give her divorce or not. As far kids are concerned you have to explain them what you are looking forward i.e. divorce from their mother. How good are your kids relation with their mother this is also important to see. after your divorce who will keep the kids i.e their custody has also to be decided. After or even during the pend ency of the divorce/judicial separation petition you will have to provide your wife & kids with maintenance the amount as decided by the court. These are all the points which are related to the matrimonial disputes. Even though you are not having any physical relation since 8 years & you can take it as a ground of desertion along with cruelty but this will allow you with judicial separation under the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955 & you have to wait for 1year after getting the decree of judicial separation to apply for decree of divorce. All these procedures will take many years by the time you ultimately get divorce you will be crossing 50years of your life. Keep all these things in mind before you take any action.

Why force her to stay in a home that is un-happy. It may be a hard thing for your children to accept at first, but they in the long run will appreciate the fact that you took action. You should show your sons that marriage can be happy and loving, and when that goes wrong that sometimes you need to try again. You are a young man in the reality of life, you should both cut your losses, and move on.

first of all your question needs to be more explanatory. Hate has a reason. What is it that she hates about you. Write down the five things you feel she hates about you. ask her for the five things. But of course if you have reached the point of no return[there is no point like that] then go for a divorce quickly. children are very resilient. they are much more resilient than men and women. take them into confidence and both of you should remember that hate is of no use. it only is a waste of time. look at the nice things in life you can do after your divorce and she can too look out for. that should make both ofyou happy and conitnue ur responsibilities to your kids.

Sounds like no matter what you do she will never be happy...your better off on your own. Their are alot of single parents out there and you will do fine. As long and your in your boys lives that is all that matter....I can totally understand I am div and have 2 boys....we are doing great on our own_

Dont take any action just enjoy your life take care of your children be there when they need you if she hates you its her problem not yours what is it you are looking for?Go and get what you want in secret.Dont get into any relationships.
