Well, the BCS will say yes because Boise is #8 this week in the BCS poll, and they'll qualify for a BCS poll by being at least #12 in the final BCS poll, which will happen.
But I personally don't want to see them in the Fiesta Bowl, because I would expect them to get clobbered by either Oklahoma or Nebraska.

Based upon the current BCS system, yes they deserve the Fiesta Bowl bid, the same as Utah did a couple of years ago when they were undefeated. Boise is a good program, but plays weak competition. Undefeated Boise would be be 7-5 in the SEC or the Big 10.

Boise State does deserve to be in the Fiesta Bowl. The BCS system does provide for a quality mid-major team, like BSU, to play in a BCS bowl game this season, as compared to years past. However, the real question should be how will Boise State do in a BCS bowl game? I am not sure that Boise State matches up well with Oklahoma, but they might be able to take Nebraska.

No, because in a BCS conference they would have struggled to stay above .500. I'd give 'em a spot in the Peach or Gator Bowl maybe, but putting them in a BCS game would just be wrong. Kinda like USC playing in the National Championship game...but I don't wanna start another rant about how Michigan should be #2...

Basically, since the BCS doesn't allow more than 2 teams from any one conference, and since all the teams from the major conferences have beaten themselves up enough to let BSU into the top 10, we're gonna see them in the Fiesta Bowl. Just don't act surprised when you see them lose to Oklahoma by 30.

Yes, because I am from Oklahoma and I would Love to see another team get beat by the One and Only Oklahoma Sooners. You should consider yourself Honored to play against the Sooners, since we have 7 National Championships, 4 Heisman Award Winners, NCAA-Record 47-Game Winning Streak, 39 Conference Titles, 39 Bowl Appearances, 24 Bowl Titles, 63 National Award Winners, 426 First Team All-Conference, 141 All-Americans.

Oklahoma is the winningest program in what is widely considered the modern era of college football. OU has the most victories and best winning percentage of any team since the end of World War II.

The Sooners have earned seven AP National Championships in that span and are recognized by the NCAA for 16 titles. OU has spent more weeks ranked in the top five (342) of the AP poll than any other team and is tied with Notre Dame for most weeks ranked No. 1 (95). The AP poll began in 1936.

Not only does Boise State deserve to play in the Fiesta Bowl, they deserve to play Ohio State in the BCS championship game. Why? Because Boise State won all of their games. It's that simple. Arguing that Boise State is not as good as Ohio State while not allowing them to play each other is pointless. How will we ever know how good/bad Boise State is unless they are given the chance to play?

Boise State is the only other undefeated team in the top 10 and they are ranked 8th in the BCS standings, and 9th in the USA Today poll. Because USC lost to UCLA this week, Boise State should, in theory, jump at least 2 positions in the rankings (taking into to account the Arkansas vs. Florida game). This would make them 7th in the Nation. It makes sense to allow the only two undefeated teams to play each other, especially since Boise State is undefeated and 7th in the nation. Of course, we all know that an Ohio State vs. Boise State match-up wouldn't be good for television and ad-revenue, which is what is really driving the college football machine anyway. For more here, read BCS controversies in wikipedia Bowl Championship Series (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/bowl_championship_series).

In all likelihood, a one-loss team will end up playing Ohio State in the BCS championship bowl. But in my opinion, there are too many deserving one-loss teams (Michigan, Florida, USC, Louisville) not to allow Boise State to play Ohio State in the BCS championship bowl. No matter what happens, quite a few teams are going to feel slighted. This is why Florida's head coach Urban Meyers jeeringly referred to the subjective nature of BCS system along with its "style wins" when discussing the possibility of a Michigan vs. Ohio State rematch.

I predict there will be enough snubbed teams at the end of this year's season to finally put to rest the BCS system and replace it with a college football playoff. The status quo and its institutional bias must be eliminated.

Well, because they're #8 in the top 12..they get to go..and I think they deserve it. It nice to see a school, especially from the WAC get a chance to "prove" themselves on a national level. The Oregon Ducks and my Fresno St Bulldogs have had similar chances in the past, but neither team can seem to finish it off, depsite having some very good starts. Although Boise St hasn't faced anyone difficult yet this season (I believe their toughest opponent was Hawaii), I still think they deserve a chance to prove themselves on a national stage. I am confident they will give teams like Nebraska,,.... Oklahoma......a very good game.
I'll keep my eyes on Boise's game.....I hope they put a good name in for the WAC conference.

Sorry to say this but the bowl game that Boise St. plays in will not be pretty! I do not expect them to turn any heads. I highly respect them and the fact they are 12-0, but just can't see them taking down a Big 12 team.

YES! They played every team on their schedule and they won. As college basketball will show you this is tough to do....doesn't matter how good your opponent is, it takes a special mental approach to win all these games. If you go undefeated, you desrve a chance to prove yourself against the elite teams in the country. I DON'T think they deserve to be in the Champ. game, bt a BCS Fiesta Bowl...YES!!
