They are giving out gifts based on your point level. I would like to be a 7, but I am trying hard to get to 6. The Yamster ad on the right side of your profile page cycles through, and will ask you to sign up for a free prize.

Click on the hamster. You fill out the info and get a gift pending your status on Answers. Go to Answers home page and look in the bottom left hand corner. Dark green square.

So far, I've received some Yahoo Answer wallpaper for my PC, in lovely monochromatic green with the punctuation mark faces on it.
