I'd say a month, all factors play in though. If you have kids and bills and all that stress sex doesnt come often. The longest me and my husband went was a little over a month and that was because we were fighting and about to split up. Before that it was 1 or 2 times a week. It sounds like you guys are having problems, if everything seems as it always does I would talk to your wife and see if its her problem or if theres someone else. Contrary to what men believe most women like having sex as long as they can orgasm, most women just dont like it everyday and it to be a quickie, they like to "make love", they want to take their time, with the occasional quickie. So talk to her and find out whats going on.

Hey, ignore all the people who say sex is not a foundation blah blah blah. You loose the goofy butterflies when you don't have sex. Sex is so important in a relationship. Make sure you aren't begging b/c that's a huge turn off. Explain to your wife how sex is on a higher level of importance for you as a man (if you're a man) and be patient but persistent. Just remember you are not alone, lots of couples have this problem. If you do have sex finally, be sure to keep the feelings following. Schedule it if you have to. It's not romantic but 5 months will be a year soon. A healthy sex life should be at least 3 times a week, once a week if you're really busy. If there are no medical problems, try being intimate without intercourse. Cuddling naked or in your underwear can sometimes rekindle the feeling of closeness as well as reintroducing yourselves to each other. It's awkward at first but you both have to close your eyes and just do it. lol. Hope this helps even a little. Now get off the computer and go get some. :o)

It all depends on how long and how old you two are. The longer you are married the less sex you have. The older we all get the lower sex drive. 5 1/2 months is a very long time to go without sex unless you are in your 60's on up and still that is a long time.

In 2015, I enter 3 hundred and sixty 5 days 13 of no intercourse (i.e, under 2x in keeping with 3 hundred and sixty 5 days, or as replaced into the case in 2014, NONE). i think very trapped - she got here to the marriage with 3 babies and that i grew to become the on the spot breadwinner. Now that function is often reversed, In 3 hundred and sixty 5 days 2 of our new marriage, she reported me she might in no way choose for counseling because of the fact her ex-husband did so and the counselor make their subject to be "all my fault." once I see couples giggling, hugging and taking part in affection, i'm getting very very indignant at them. once I see porn and pictures of intimacy, I question how 'genuine' they're because of the fact i won't have faith that 2 human beings would nicely be bodily close sufficient to easily have a good time with intercourse mutually. i'm DROWNING, lost for any close affection, and thinking an affair. I even have additionally written my Obituary, and function achieved my go out Plan whilst the day comes that I settle directly to place it into use. That day may be an afternoon in 2015 - i won't take this anymore. i'm nearing retirement age, and would't muster the financial or different capability to easily stroll away. I stay and am completely depressing.

I would think it depends on several different things like, stress, health, age. There could be an underlying illness like hormones, high blood pressure, diabetes or a heart problem. We've been married a long time and are in our 50's and my hubby still works 5 days a week. We both have high BP (but are on meds. for it) and he's a diabetic (and of course he's on meds for that) but we still manage to have sex at least a couple times a week. But everyone is different, so that's a hard question to answer. We all have different sex drives.

Imagine if the husband and wife are in their 80s, then does it matter?
Sex is great, but it shouldn't define the relationship. If you're asking because you are dealing with the lack of it, perhaps you need to take a look at how important your wife is to you.

Right now I have gone too long for my wife, because it has been 8+ years for us. My wife says she can go without it, that she does not need it and she does not want it.
