ok, maybe he's a racist and he definetely shouldn't have said the things he said but damn, get over it! even if he IS a racist (hypothetical), how is it going to impact the people he offended?

i agree with nitrogen. i was definetely shocked to hear him say that especially in an LA comedy club but those people who are going on the news saying that they demand an apology from him, WHO CARES!!! why do they care if he says sorry or not. are they going to be able to live life to the fullest after he says sorry?

The fact of the matter is that he uttered the 'n' word to a black patron who was dissatisfied with Richards' act. Richards could've handled himself better by just brushing off what the patron said. You also have to remember that not everyone gets over certain things as quickly as others might do, we're different. Pretty soon it will all die down, but just remember that YOU don't control how long it takes for people to get over something of this magnitude.
It must've put some kind of impact when the Richards appeared on a radio talk show with George Mooney(a comedian) and the Reverend Jesse Jackson and apologized for how he acted. Once the discussion between the three guests and the host(s) was about to end, Jesse Jackson pointed out that the use of the 'n' word by any person, regardless of race, has GOT to stop. Frankly, I agree with him; the use of the 'n' word by anyone(even if they're hispanic, black, white, asian, middle eastern)has to stop.

The news media are having a slow two weeks- Brittany hasnt ridden around with her baby behind the wheel, Anna Nicole is on psych meds and not doing anymore talk shows, and Bush is out of the country -- so slow it is.
I find it offensive that our media is making a big thing about it- why is it allowed that blacks can call eachother that word, but if it is used by anyother race, it is racist-- I am not racist but an equal opportunity american-- if the black community cant control their comics and actors on TV calling eachother that word- they are putting it out there-- I dont like being called a cracker, but for america to come together as the "melting pot" we are, (there are more children born in interracial families then there are in the same race in this country), we have to "CHILL OUT" on the lingo and desensitize ourselves- remember the old saying? "Sticks and stones will break my bones, but words will never hurt me". It should be our new American motto.

He talked about Lynching which he should NEVER have brought up. For anyone who knows how serious lynching is, you wouldn't just throw his comments away just like that.
People are still offended because remarks like this should NOT be ignored and swept away with nothing done about it.
It's because we keep treating these racist comments with nothing more than a slap on the wrist that people think it's "Ok" to say.

I agree. The whole thing is absurd. If I were Micheal Richards, I would apologize for losing my temper. I wouldnt apologize for anything specificaly. After all the Nger word is a word that black people often use to positively associate with each other. If black people feel comfortable calling themselves Ngers then it is understandable that people of other races would think its ok to call black people Ngers as well. It would be like if I got upset for a black person calling me a cracker. Whatever. The black people that Micheal Richards called Ngers, were heckling him. Which gives Micheal Richards the right to crack on them. They deserved it. Im a stand up comedian and know how bad hecklers can be. They deserve to be humiliated. They are disrespecting the comedian and interupting the show. When Micheal Richards called them Ngers, they called him "White boy" and "White Cracker". Now that is just as bad as being called a Nger as far as Im concered. But did the black hecklers get any heat? No!!!!!!!!

Here is the problem. All of the typical left wing media puppets are jumping all over this to get their time on camera.
I wasnt offended but I was shocked. I mean to find out whats secretly hidden deep inside people ...wow

i dont think its that he offended all those people(which he did) but, that he went on and on about it and didn't stop after one or two comments. people wouldnt have walked out for just 1 or2 but going on continuosly and screaming too, not just saying it. he was gettin mad and everything. i think it was the whole situation that was blown up by the media more than it shoulda been.

What in the world did the poor, dumb, bastard say?
I'm sorry I meant rich, stupid, leprechaun...no wait...he is the tall one and he isn't green...I meant rich, stupid, "person"
Who bit the hand that fed it....
Whatever could he have said that was that horrible?
I guess I don't really want or need to know...so don't tell me.

I thought it was hilarious! I loved it. I think he should be rewarded for just saying it, and not worrying about all of that PC nonsense that filters our every word. But yeah, his career is over because of it. Damned hippies.
