Go to www.epson.com. They have drivers for your printer that you can download. If you post the version of Windows (XP? 98?) and the model of the printer, someone wiill give you a link to the drivers.

You can just download the printer driver, and possibly the software if Epson offers the software for download. The driver allows your computer to recognize your printer. Go to Epson's website. Go to Drivers & Support and search for your specific printer. It will give you the option to download the driver.
What is the model of your Epson printer? This number may be on top of your printer somewhere.

Your funny and not stupid for doing a system recovery. Go to the pinter manufacturer's website and type in the word "drivers" or your model of printer or both and see what comes up. Then when the message comes up to either "save" or "run" the program, you want to hit "save". If you can save it to your desktop by hitting browse then choose the desktop. If/when you find the program you just saved click on it and the wizard should do the rest. If not, then right click, open, and select the file with the last 3 letters .exe and then the program should execute. Hope this helps.

you can probably go to epson's website and look for a driver in their downloads or software downloads section... if not, you might be able to find the driver on download.com.
