Do you place them on the same keys just holding the instrument in a different direction?

I play both flute and clarinet and some are like F and E are sorta the same but mainly not

No...........way........Those are totally different. I tried the flute to many fingerings. So I stuck with my clarinet. Much easier when you get how to form the mouth.
