You may have to go with a dress to the wedding. Torrid has some great styles for larger-sized women. See the website below.
For other ideas on every other day, try wearing the same color from head to toe. This gives an illusion of being taller and slimmer. Always wear some type of pointed toe pumps (even with jeans). They will also help you appear taller and slimmer.
There are lots of things for you to choose from. Use your imagination, get creative with mixing the pieces that make YOU feel good. Confidence goes a long way with your creativity.

i would definetly not wear a long skirt because you are short and it wont look right. I would wera maybe some tan pants or capris that flare just a little sort of like boot cut then you can wear open toe high heel shoes to make your legs look slimmer (and remember about posture) and for the shirt wear something that is fitting frm the top but flares out to al least ypur stomach that way it wont be tight on your body you would definetly look slimmer and you wont have to deal with a skirt and be uncomfortable. well i hope this helps and good luck with everything!

Hey.. yeah i kinda have that problem myself. I had a wedding to go to myself. so yeah you could say i do have some experience. First of all.. go with a light color skirt that comes right below the knee..maybe like a A line skirt. that kinda flairs at the bottom. you know that cute kind. then for the top i whore a simple sweater with a tank top under. i will include links to show you what im talkin about
ohh and as for shoes... i threw on my chucks... cant do heels..

well you should wear a two-piece outfit, since that will cut you off a little. maybe a top with a high neck to elongate your height and make you appear slimmer, and some black fitted pants with pinstriped design...it all depends on how "chunky" you are.

skirts are the best solution.because it can hide your thighs, making you slimmer, and you won't look shorter than you look in jeans.you can start by wearing long skirts.
good luck!
