Thanks for all of your inputs, I appriciate your opinions. I don't want to do the wrong thing and lose this person over it. I don't know why it's difficult to stop the desire to do it? This person is really nice and everything I could want.

Rich: Your answer to your question is a definite "YES" !!! Prior to any physical contact comes the mind set. When you are involved mentally, your emotions conjure up your mind to cause your actions to become involved. You wouldn't be even, posting this question if you REALLY thought that this wasn't necessarily wrong to do. You have started the "ball" rolling !!!

Yes, if it is difficult to stop the desire for it you are ADDICTED and that it WRONG. Why can't you talk dirty to your girlfriend/wife on the phone?

It is called an emotional affair, and yes it is definitley cheating. I have seen the effects of this seemingly benign behavior break up some marraiges. why can't you sweet talk your wife/girlfriend? I would be totally pissed if my husband was giving his affections to someone else, even if it is just spankin it over the computer.

Whenever in doubt about such situations that seem ok in your opinion. Put yourself in the OTHER position. Would you feel ok with your gf or wife doing same? In my book it would be considered being unfaithful........which means cheating to me.

i would say yes, but everyone thinks differently, yeah granted there's no physical touch, but would you want your g/f or wife typing about sucking some other guys p#&$? I think not......
