Yes. By all means it can be called sissy. It can also be called intelligent.
The point is, everyone will call it whatever they perceive it to be. And that will give you a range of answers.
In general, and this is in the most general sense, the majority of women want a tough man. They want a man who will be a male. And just when the guy is doing his "thang" she will then criticize him for being too masculine, too macho, or too whatever.
You see, most people want it both ways. They want a macho when they want a macho, and they want a pussycat when they want a pussycat. It can be quite challenging to be all things to all people--in fact, more like impossible.
I run into this problem frequently with my wife. She wants it both ways--some of the time. Other times, she is more balanced and recognizes (tho' she does not like it) that I have to be a man.
Yet, she is eternally grateful when I basically act like a woman (Yeah, I know that sounds real bad, but I phrase it like that because that is how it feels.)
I have accused her of really wanting me to either be a woman or gay (what's the difference, I say), and funny enough, when I act that way, she seems to be happier.
This brings me to a whole new level of thought. Not all women are the same. Find a woman (like my spouse) and she will commend you for being kind and gentle--almost to a fault.
Our daughter, really gets irritated with my wife who seems to want me to behave in a rather effeminent manner.
My daughter much more prefers my masculine approach to life, and looks up to me for being a leader, a tough guy, someone who can set things right, and take care business despite how nasty the business might be.
My wife, on the other hand, would rather just not know or deal with "tough" situations.
So, in conclusion, it really depends on who you are with and what their expectancies are.
In my own opinion, though, I have found it best to error on the side of macho, and appologize later. Rest assured, when dealing with most women, if you error on the side of poosey pants, an appology rarely restores any perception you give that you are a "man". Think about it, if you underact the masculine part, who in their right mind would ever believe you in the future that you are masculine. All they will ever remember is what a wimp you were before.
But on the other hand, if you over do the masculine part, no body doubts your masculinity, in fact, it is once again confirmed. At that point, everyone just gets mad at you for being such an *** hole. At which point, you appologize, explain why you were "over-the-top" and in about an hour to a day, nobody ever remembers or cares.
Good luck.
Hope this helps.

Can be. I don't think most people want men to be tough rough and fierce, but rather strong, confident and decisive. Those can still be done gently, but it is the dominant side of gentle without crossing into arrogant jerk or bar brawling redneck.

A manly man knows when to be rough & tough and when to call on his gentle side.

It truly relies upon on her personality. I tend to be truly severe even as describing each and every thing (ex: if my pal brings sushi for lunch I tell her i don't love her any extra), yet i take advantage of it extra jokingly. If it really is a pal she'd probable be extra joking about it. If no longer she's probable purely being advise.

Just be yourself. If anyone hates on you then their a piece of crap. Don't be too much a wuss though. don't be afraid to over drink, eat, fight, and be a total pig sometimes. You can lift weights too, but you don't need to be some macho dick head. You can fool some people ,but not everybody. You can't be things you are not and people of knowledge will understand this. A lot of these girls like to act like men and a lot of men like to act like girls so i really don't know anything.
