if you got the bread get the ps3, unless you want to have to sling your arm around all day to play the wii, id like to try it, but i bet youd get tired of it pretty quick

I think a lot of it depends on the dough you have and what kinds of games you like. I like both Nintendo and Playstation. I have a PS2 and want a PS3, but it's just WAY too expensive right now. I am going to get a Wii since it's only $250 compared to $600 and because I think it would just be awesome to be able to actually bowl in your living room and actually sword fight as Link in Zelda. I still want the PS3, but I'm going to wait until the price goes down.
I suggest you going to thier websites and look at the different features available and watch the Wii demos, and make your decision from that. Also check out what games will be available, that will have a lot to do with what you would enjoy the most.

Tough choice.... I bought a Wii and I love it, If you like Nintendo games, such as Zelda or Mario, then you would like the Wii. I am planning to get a Ps3, which seems to have better graphics, plus the blu ray disc player, but it will be hard to find until sometime next year, so I am going to wait... My advice for you is if you want a system soon, like around Christmas, get the Wii, its cheap, fun and you will enjoy it, or if you want graphics and all that then wait and save your money and get the PS3 when you can!!! I had the opportunity to play the Wii and it was awesome. I just played the Wii Sports but still had a great time. If you want to go trendy and pay more get the PS3. You want to go fun, go Wii.

Pros and cons for PS3:
+ sweet graphics
+ bluray player
+ can go online
- too expensive
- not enough good titles come to mind
- - hard to find
- - bites from Nintendo (motion sensing)
Pros and Cons for Wii
+ relatively cheap
+ + very easy to pick up and play
+ three high-rated games come to mind immediately
+ play classic games
+ + 200,000 units being shipped to the US every week (as far as I know)
+ + + comes with a game
- not able to go completely online until Spring 07
- not enough games for the older crowd
Based on that, I'd buy a Wii.
