I hear a lot that looks for women are not as important as they are for men. Is this true? What trait about a man matters most to women, and what trait about a woman matters most to men?

When I was a young woman, although it did matter to me that a potential be pleasant looking, the most important thing was that he be good company, be reliable, and be willing AND able to provide a nest for our future children. Now that I am older, and my children nearly grown and gone, the good company factor is more important than it was, and knowing that I can count on my mate to care for me no matter what has become more important. Kindness and good moral character is as important now as it ever was: I want a man I can trust, who will keep his word. And of course he has to know me well, and love me anyway! lol

My personal answer for this is basically. Women in general always will feel that they never will look good enough. Now if there was a man who told them "wow you look beautiful today" looks wouldn't matter to her.
Basically there are some women out there who are shallow. Depends on what kind of women you are looking for. Yes looks do take a toll on a relationship. But they don't necessarily mean **** when it comes to how you make that person emotionally. I guess its all comes down to what "kind" of women you want.

As a woman, I would say that looks do matter to a certain extent but it's mostly the sensitivity of a man and how they treat a woman that matters I think.

Looks matter a lot.

I sometimes see some people crying out discrimination due to race...but I sometimes wonder if it's really "lookism" -- discrimination based on looks. Don't get me wrong, racism's alive, but I think that good looking people of all races are generally treated better than not so great looking people. Ex.s such as getting free items, people generally think attractive people are smarter, people tend to smile at what is aesthetically pleasing...etc.

look DOES count number! despite the indisputable fact that... look isn't all there is. i in my opinion care about personality first, body later, yet i'll admit that if someone is purely undeniable gruesome, I purely isn't attracted. I truly have met a lady on line, we were speaking for months, we've voice chatted, we've considered each and every others on the webcam.. she is eleven years older than me and weights 230 pounds (I weight one hundred and fifty 5 pounds). many human beings might want to likely discover her way too fat and gruesome, yet at the same time as she is definitely fat, she is a approaches from being gruesome, and she purely has a magnificent personality, and that i purely couldn't help yet fall for her. i imagine the biggest problem is that individuals purely frequently do not take your time to get to carry close each and every others. We see many questions right here that reflects purely how little human beings even recognize from their personal significant different or acquaintances. So in a society the position human beings somewhat get to carry close their lover, you are able to imagine that many received't care to get to carry close that human being accessible that doesn't in good structure their beauty criteria. human beings bypass on many opportunities to get to carry close large human beings, purely because they have "criteria". Pitty.
