Some people have an acquired sound for music i do for some things i listen to you probaly wouldnt either. Most people follow the in crowd its just what every body else is into at the time. When something new comes around it'll die down you'll see like nsync and the back street boys they are just phases.

People are given limited options by the mass media, and as such, they get sucked into one heavily commodified market niche or another. Thus, some idiots will listen to rap because that's what they've been conditioned to consume, while others will gravitate to junk like the chemical romance because that's one of the scant few other options they're aware of.

MCR is not an emo band. and they are not a trend either. I've liked them before they were on MTV. and even the people who liked them by watching them on MTV aren't following the trend either. People who like MCR like them because their lyrics are powerful, meaningful and they identify with them. People also like MCR simple because they think their music sounds good. I understand people may not like them, but thats why there are other bands and other types of music to listen to. I'm sure there are some bands u LOVE and I HATE. but thats why I listen to something else. and not insult them.

In the new millenium, dime-a-dozen girly-boy-bands-plus-instruments with expensive clothes, weird hair, and questionable tastes are the new choreographing, harmonizing, girly-boy-bands with expensive clothes and questionable tastes that were so popular in the 90's.

Hehe, different strokes for different folks. I support the band because my husband used to work with Mikey and Gerard's dad. Like their music or not, you have to admit that they're talented kids.

Hey..people have different tastes in music, movies, books, etc. That is the great thing about having cds, radio stations, video channels that can switch to different stations or channels. You don't have to listen or watch music you don't like! hehe
