can you raise up those physical symptoms of fear right now? try your best. act like you're in that situation, though you really aren't just now. if you can do that, then that is proof that you are under control of those symptoms of fear. the freezing up, shaky hands, stuttering, etc.

''we weep not because we are sorrowful, rather, we're sorrowful because we weep.''
-William James, an early psychologist.

take some deep breaths. number one is control your breathing. the key is to ACT as someone who is not afraid.

our instinctual defenses toward fear actually reinforce the fears. i.e. say you're scared of snakes. you see a snake, tense up, scream, and run away. that's instinctual. but all that does is make that fear, and your response to it stronger, since it got you away from the thing you feared. this is how panic attacks can develop -- a fear that is reinforced over and over.

the way you feel when you get up in front of ppl actually has very little to do with you having to speak in front of them. there is a tiny bit of nervousness that your mind feels, but then your physical symptoms of fear start up, b/c they've been reinforced all this time, and that's what really makes you feel afraid.

you're not even really afraid of speaking in public. what you're afraid of is when your physical symptoms of fear come around. take deep, regular breaths. concentrate on your breathing, i can't say that enough. you will be fine. believe that. faith can work wonders, even if you're using it against yourself.

I've always been scared of public speaking as well (it is a common fear among most people). I was very challenged recently when I began teaching and I had to speak in front of a class of over 100 students. I soon realized that the students were more afraid of being called upon than I was of speaking to them - Knowing that others are not judging you because they are too worried about their own public speaking really helped me.

Read Aloud to family, friends or whomever you can get to listen. Pick a person in the crowd and read mainly to them, but occasionally look at the others too. Keep trying and be determined to practice and learn how to be a good public speaker. You don't have to be perfect, all people make mistakes.Others will do what they do. We can't change them. Just our reaction to them. If they laugh, laugh with them. If you laugh at yourself you will be at ease. It will take time and you may stumble before you shine but if you persevere you will learn. Isn't learning what school's all about?
You may also see if a parent will take you to a toastmasters meeting as they are an association of public speakers and may be willing to help you.

an ideal thing to do is try not to focus on the people listening.
just know they are ordanory people who might have the exact same fears.
if you are required by your teacher to look at them, this may seem weird but look at there foreheads and so it looks like your looking at there eyes.
but if its the stage fright, just know that nobody will laugh at you if you mess up.
before the presentation happens take a deep breath and tell yourself (in your mind) to stay calm and nothing will happen.
so in other words pretend that you arnt even reading to anyone or in other words pretend that nobody is even there.

I study a e book with the aid of sebastian faulkes called human strains a singular about the starting up of psychiatry. the unique pioneers theory that there change into something contained in the frame of mind of humanising and getting enlarged brains that meant some persons were paying heavily for the self knowledge- i imagine the phobia of worry has no function, and their rationalization the most useful I absolutely have heard purely an evolutionary blip like dodo's. once you concentration on that a million in 4 persons at anybody time has a psychological ailment - no longer having the flexibility to handle our own minds -then we would want to look quite a mistake
