Yes, she is TRULY BEAUTIFUL - she was amazing as Juliet (but this film was Franco Zafarelli's 1968 version, not 1950s), and also, as Mary in "Jesus of Nazareth" - totally beautiful, WITHOUT MAKEUP also - there aren't many like her.

She wasn't a very nice person. I knew her briefly. She didn't have a great personality and she didn't seem to like anyone either. The clash between her and Bette Davis is true. Hussey was playing East Indian chants in her dressing room at 6 am in the morning. Her dressing room was next door to Hussey's and the older actress was pretty angry at the lack of consideration. And Hussey ignored Davis for the rest of the shoot. Olivia Hussey was one of the most beautiful woman in Hollywood in the 70's but she never quite hit it big although she had some good parts. She owes her career to Zeffirelli in many. Best to remember her in the movies

Olivia was born to Andreas Osuna (aka Isvaldo Ribo), an Argentinian opera and tango singer and his English wife Joy Hussey. When she was seven years old, Olivia and her younger brother went with their mother to live in England, where she attended the Italia Conti Academy drama school for five years.
Her first role was as Jenny in The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie with Vanessa Redgrave where Zeffirelli spotted her. Chosen out of 500 other actresses, she appeared in her first starring role as Juliet in Zeffirelli's 1968 film version of Romeo and Juliet opposite Leonard Whiting's Romeo. In 1969, she won a David di Donatello Award (Italian Oscar) for Best Actress.
She has appeared in over 40 films in her career. Notable roles include Jessica Bradford in the 1974 Canadian horror movie Black Christmas, Mary, the mother of Jesus in the 1977 Zeffirelli TV production of Jesus of Nazareth, and as Rosalie Otterbourne in Death on the Nile (1978) with Peter Ustinov. One of her other great performances was as Rebecca of York in the 1982 made for TV remake of Ivanhoe. She is known for her natural beauty, reportedly wearing little or no makeup in her roles.
In 2003, Hussey played the lead in a film adaptation on the life of Mother Teresa.
Personal life
Hussey was married first to actor Dean Paul Martin (son of the famous Rat Pack singer/actor, Dean Martin) from 1971 until 1978. They had a son, Alexander Dean Martin, in 1973. In 1980 she married Japanese musician Akira Fuse and bore one son, Maximillian Fuse. After their divorce in 1989 Hussey married a third time to David Glen Eisley, an American musician. Together they had Hussey's third child, daughter India Joy Eisley.

Everyone seems to have covered the subject so just one more trivia note. Movie ratings were just getting started around that time and she was only 15 and not old enough to get in to see her movie in a public theater

It was actually 1966. Yeah, she was pretty. Not sure if I'd go with one of the most beautiful ever, but...
She also played Mary, Jesus' mother in Jesus of Nazareth in ... 1977, I think. And believe it or not, she played Norman Bates' mom in one of the Psycho movies! Talk about going from one extreme to the other! LOL
