ok so this girl that i know (we're sort of friends but we hardly talk- shes my best friends cousin so i see her sometimes.) anyway she was saying some things to this guy i'm dating about me that are only partly true and she twisted things around a lot. he doesnt seem to mind because i cleared it up for him but he wasnt suppossed to say anything to me and he told me not to tell her he told me. i want to confront her but i dont want him to be mad at me. should i just give her the cold shoulder from now on or should i pretend like nothing is wrong(which would be hard.)

Just stay away from her. From what you said, I can't think of any reason why you need to be in her presence. Tell your boyfriend if he wants to keep you as a girlfriend he has stay away from her too. People like her are poison. I'm sorry you had to go through that.

We've all been through that. Even though you know you want to fight back and lie about her, don't. That would just mean that you have sunk to her level. People who spread rumors about others have no life so they decide to ruin someone elses. Its very immature. Even though it's hard, just ignore her and be super nice to her. Kill her with kindness! Cuz if you start getting mad then she'll know she did a good job and she'll see you as an easy target.

You don't have to tell her that your boyfriend told you.
Cause he's not the only one she's told.
She probably knew you would find out,
she just didn't have the guts to say it to your face.
So, which works for you best.
The cold shoulder treatment, or getting in her face.
Maybe a nice card with a note,
WHAT GOES AROUND COMES AROUND.

You want to approach her, so do it. If she's actually spreading rumors, she's probably told others as well. So she wont really know from who, you received your info. Besides, rumors spread like wildfire. And there's no reason to tell her your source, since she's obviously NOT your friend.

Alot of people spread lies about people just to make them selves feel better, or try to bring you down to their level to make themselves feel better. A true friend would not do that!!! :)

I would confront her. Is he more worried about her being mad or you. You need to set the record straight before she continues this behavior.

Forget her and move on with your life. You will always run into negative people.
