The big question is can the paint be saved? I own a body shop and deal with this regularly. The cheapest and easiest way to tell is to go to your local autozone or similar place and buy some rubbing compound. Take a rag and some componud and pick a small spot. it will take some rubbing, if it can be saved you should be able to get it to shine. if it shines then the local detail shop should be able to take care of this for you. the car would need to be machine buffed not just hand buffed. Be sure to take the vehicle to a reputable shop. If they do not know what they are doing they can cause more damage than good.

you need to find a good wax with a clay block , this will help as much as possible , the clay block will remove the dirt and and fill in the microscopic cracks and small holes in the paint . usually this application is good for about 6 weeks follow the directions on the package and let it set a bit longer if your paint is really dull , should help to pull the oxidation out a bit more . hope that helps

put some wax on it , that will help it not look as bad, and possibly stop fading as fast.
