If people didn't care about this country they would not have, to quote you, "strong opinions of America". Do not mistake everyone who wants change in this great land to be anti-american, it isnt so, my friend. What they want is their american jobs to say in america and not be outsources to China or India. What they want is a government that doesn't allow violation of our civil rights under the constitution-which means no torturing of prisoners, no wiretapping of civilians without court orders, and what they want is a government that is concerned about the future of America and Americans and their way of life NOT how much money can I make for myself and my good ol boys...........

No, can't agree somewhat. How do you know how we think? I don't feel that way at all. As a matter of fact, I'm very grateful to live in this country and that's what's so great about being an American.....freedom of speech! What if I don't agree with republicans? Do you think that I think republicans bash this country? Don't think so.

it truly works in Europe to some extent, their well-being care is constrained to cover the basics. at the same time as it includes significant well-being care discoveries and coverings, the US is on accurate, despite the indisputable fact that it does fee a fairly penny or 2. What makes authorities presented well-being care incorrect is that you're forcing human beings to pay with their puzzling change into rewarding for the well being of a stranger; it really is effective to do it if the guy is prepared (charity), yet to call for it really is thoroughly incorrect. Like each and every thing else, authorities grant well-being care will bypass over its funds; take a inspect welfare, social safe practices, etc, and spot that all of them bypass excess of funds and get us added into debt. the militia already has a well-being care software that each and every solider will pay into, truly a militia "huge-spread well-being care." it isn't that large, inner most well-being care remains better ideal, and the authorities takes a crap load remote from their paychecks to fund it. Now one reason it truly works properly for the militia is because each and every soldier is contributing to it out of their paycheck, yet outdoors of the militia, in the civilian international, their are many who do no longer artwork and/or do not pay taxes (illegals), meaning their will be better persons laying aside from the equipment than there are persons putting into it.

I'm liberal. I never wanted bush to fail. The fact is almost all americans gave him the benefiet of the doubt after 9-11, but how long can you stand by a president who politically stands for everything you're against and who seems to be incapable of anything successfull. I can't think of more than one thing he's gotten right since he's been in power. He has made more and more enemies which we didn't have before. The middle east is 100 times more volitile and dangerous as when clinton was in power.
I'm in favor of everything in the constitution although I don't interpret the "Right to bear arms" the same as most Conservatives do. I also believe in a freemarket capitalist society. I just don't like excessive deregulation which always leads to abuse and profiteering. I think the market needs to be monitored and rules adjusted when companies get out of control.
What do you mean by pro-anti-american? There are no examples of that in your question! Every person like me is disgusted by the anti americanism in france! Do you man muslims? Perhaps you lump all muslims into the category of "Anti-american". If thats the case we ARE far more qualified to resolve middle east turmoil than people like you. If you lump an entire people into the enemy category then you have no means to negotiate with them.
So I'll Just list some of the things that I think define me as liberal and you can tell me how it is "unamerican".
1. I am "pro-choice"
2. I Believe in separation of church and state
3. I am in favor of strict protection of the environment
4. I am against high taxes for the poor
5. I am against lower taxes for the rich
6. I believe your income/skincolor/religion should not affect your quality of education
7. I think that excessive military spending is a burden on society
8. I believe that big buisiness should not be favored over small buisiness
9. I think minimum wages should not be slave wages
10. I say money shouldn't be a prerequisite for healthcare
11. I believe a society is valued for how it's poor is treated not it's rich.
12. I believe diplomacy is usually more powerful than Aggression
13. I say the arguement against Gay marriage is based soley in religion and is therefore invalid in our secular society
14. I believe scientists over oil companies
15. I am against creationism and creation science being taught in school
16. I am in favor of transparent government
17. I am in favor of the geneva conventions
19. I am in favor of habeous corpus
20. I don't think stem cell research is unethical
21. I am against exporting american jobs.
Where did you see anti american in any of that?

No, I really can't agree. I do not want Bush to fail - he seems to be doing that nicely all on his own. Other than asserting that liberals "want Bush... to fail," you have not presented any evidence that liberals are anti-American; you have only said that we don't like Bush, which is NOT anti-American - it's only anti-Bush. Back up your assertions with facts, and then ask again.

I think that what you are reading as anti-american is actually passionate criticism. In order for someone to truly love their country, they have to be able to see it without blinders on, and they have to want it to be the best it can be. Anything less is unacceptable.
If we're critical of our country, it's because we expect the most from it. We expect it to meet and exceed it's potential, and will not settle for any less.
You think we want Bush to fail? You missed the point in that case. We think he ALREADY failed. We don't believe he could do any worse if his life depended on it.
Do you think that blind refusal to see fault and flaw shows love of country or patriotism? It doesnt. The true patriot is one who sees their country for what it is and then fights for what it CAN be.

I don't think Liberals hate the country they live in ...but hate what our country is becoming because of the greedy politicians and back door agreements made between rich people on the "friends and family plan".

actually, criticizing the government is a very american value. in fact, as a good citizen it's almost a duty to speak out about what you see as wrong in the government.
were the civil rights protests in the 60s anti-american? what i see as anti-american are those who would have us all blindly follow instead of actively question.
