Yes - absolutely. All emotions need to be expressed. It is part of the human condition.
Can a person love and not express it? Can one really enjoya great movie and not share that excitement with others?
Withholding the expression of any emotion, suffocates us and creates more serious problems.
How these emotions are expressed is something we all live and learn to do better and better over time. We are a social species and that means that the actions we take toward one another effect us all.
There is a phrase that reads "do on to others as you would want them to do unto you". It is a reflection of the human condition to communicate within the social environment in which we live.

''we weep not because we are sorrowful, rather, we are sorrowful because we weep.'' -William James, an early psychologist.
his statement has some profound implications about quite a few emotions, for example, fear is a physical condition and can be controlled through controlling physical symptoms of fear. happiness can be brought into one's life simply by smiling more often. but how this statement relates to anger is ''expressing anger'' will actually create more of it. one might feel somewhat satisfied after expressing anger, but all that does it create more of it the next time anger is induced.
it is not necessary to express anger any more than it is necessary to run away crying hysterically whenever we feel afraid of something. what you feed thrives, what you starve dies.
EDIT:
Dear ''who,'' just because we disagree doesn't make either of us a tard. calm down. does your theory work? you hella just blew up at a random person. :p

No it just has to be felt deeply and then let it go like any emotion. When an emotion comes up one should just stop feel it, don't analyze it just be in it and then just let it go once fully experienced. Read the book teh Journey by Brandon Bays She show you how to become free from any emotional bondaga and physical too. Also rad Bhagavad-Gita As it is by Bhaktivedanta Prabhupada for how anger develops and universal truths

there are many ways you can release anger such as punching something, crying, yelling
its good to express anger because if you let them in and build it up, you willl have a spazz attack in the end.
its better to be honest and straight forward to start with and relase it in the most human, true way without hurting anyone.. if possible
dont turn it to abusing others or hurting yourself.. haha good luck

Studies show punching something or yelling makes you more angry. The best way to let out is with a therapist. Just talk about it and try to find the root cause of your anger.

yes it has to be expressed but it does not have to be expressed to another person. In other words you don't have to go on yahoo and make a ficking dooshbag retard out of yourself to release anger.
