They are only annoying to them when they realize the child knows more than the teacher!

Certainly do. The definition of an overachiever is someone who is performing above their expected level. This would indicate that they are trying very hard to complete their work and, as a teacher, I value a student's effort above their actual result.

YOU BET YA!!! I am a 25 year class room teacher--grades 9-12!!! GIVE me an over achiever any time!! THEY love to learn and want to please...... What we find annoying are the a.d.d--a.d.d-h's o.D's and all the other "alphabet"-- CRAZES!!! they disrupt class and they are TOTAL NUTS!!! Needs to be in SP ED!! or in jail!! NO one can learn while they are in a class. SORRY FOLKS!! Take your weird kid out of class with my NORMAL KID!!!! We are trying to learn here!!

It all depends on the specific teacher. I personally decide how much I like my students by how physically attractive they are.....JK.

I don't think teachers like kids based on their academics. I think they base their like for them on personality and character.
