I am in Sydney Australia (at least we never get sleet!).

The combination of high temperature and high relative humidity result in the lowering of the partial pressure of oxygen in the air to the point where breathing is noticeably more difficult. This results in a feeling of heaviness in the chest and arms, making you feel tired.

Be very glad you are unfamiliar with sleet! In Nebraska we get to enjoy both extremes.

because your body is sweating to cool itself down, and it takes alot of energy. Eat a good snack and drink lots of water. It should help.
