I like Neon Genesis Evangelion, the greatest mecha anime....
It's not just a fighting between bad and evil, but it has a very deep story and psychology site at each the character... Like Ayanami Rei, a complex clone from Shinji's mom. Or Asuka with her own fear with her mom...
Very cool.
And this story has a deep story about God... (but difficult to see this point in anime).

My favorite series would Lupin the Third. It's an older series and its one of those things where you either love it or hate it. But I like the interesting character designs and the humor. My favorite "new" anime would be either Cowboy Bebop or Ghost in the Shell.
My all time favorite movie would be......well....anything directed by Miyazaki (Spirited Away, Castle of Cagliostro, Howl's Moving Castle, Kiki's Delivery Service, etc.).

Bleach - Cool character concepts. More than 20 real good looking and well designed characters.
Boys Be - every episode is like watching a 20 minute feel good movie.

Hm..
TV is a tie with Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex Gig 1 and 2, FLCL, Mirage of Blaze, or this one that I just forgot, lol.
GITS:SAC because it was soo..real. Lots of politics, but in a cool way.
FLCL because...it's FLCL.
Mirage of Blaze because there's some serious passion with Takaya/Kagetora and Naoe.

TV series- Chibi Maruko-chan, it's so cute. I also like Sazae-san just for it's staying power.
movie-Porco Rosso-Hayao Miyazaki gets political-I like it. Millenium Actress was excellent also.
