No, it does not Prevent. It Terminates/Ends a Pregnancy. Some times it physically damages the woman so they can no longer carry a pregnancy full term or achieve a pregnancy,... or have complications that lead to parts of their reproductive system needing to be removed (these include some nasty infections).
So it may pervent a woman/girl from ever being pregnant again,... but that is not the point, purpose, or usual result.

No, abortion terminates pregnancy. It ends a pregnancy already in progress. While abortion does have it's risks it's a fairly safe procedure. Complications are rare. The chances of ceveloping complications such as infertility, scar tissue or death are much less than the chances of complications during full term labour. Full term labour and pregnancy is at least 10 times more likely to kill you or make you infertile than abortion.
For more and reliable information about abortion visit websites like www.plannedparenthood.org for medical information or www.imnotsorry.net to read stories of women who have had abortions.
Abortion is a controversial subject in America and simply doing a websearch on abortion is going to lead you to some very silly websites that talk about the so called 'evils of abortion'. There are plenty of 'anti-choice' and 'anti-women' or anti-abortion webites out there that tell lies about abortion to scare women away from it. They even go so far as to make up stories from women who regret their abortions or try to make up medical conditions such as post abortion syndrome. It's wrong.
I had a surgical abortion at about 15 weeks pregnant and I can assure you that not only am I physically healthy afterwards, but I am emotionally and psychologically as healthy as I was prior to the abortion. The only thing that changed was that I now feel the need to speak up against 'pro-life' lies.

Abortion will prevent the current pregnancy because it kills the fetus. However, it is not a form of birth control. After the abortion there is still a chance of pregnancy!

Abortions don't prevent pregnancy as soon as you ovulate you can become pregnant again so if you don't like condoms use the time you can have relations about a week after the period and a week before period without become pregnat instead of killing the babys that one day may save your life or at least care for you when old.

No it does not prevent pregnancy, but complications of the procedure or scar tissue could create problems in the future. The doc will go over everything including the risks, etc beforehand. Call a clinic if you need more specific info though.

it does not PREVENT pregnancy, it TERMINANTES it. methods such as taking the pill and using protection prevent pregnancy bc they keep a pregnancy from ever starting. an abotion ends a current pregnancy by killing the baby thats already developing inside the mother.

Abortion is killing! Go to church and find God. If you do so, you'll realize it's wrong. It's God's creations! Abortion is terrible, it not only kills innocent children, but did you know the fetus's head is crushed during the procedure? THINK ABOUT IT!!!! If you can't take on the responsibilities of sex , DON'T DO IT!! You shouldn't be spreading your legs. Sex is #1 for babies anyway. The way God intended....It's not to fulfill your desires...
